The upcoming Marathi film titled Yek Number has been making headlines for a long time. Viewers were anxiously awaiting further details on the film. The filmmakers have shocked the viewers by releasing the official teaser for the highly awaited film, which is presently going viral. The teaser begins with a political meeting, where the speaker says, “To all my Hindu brothers, sisters, and mothers gathered." Hearing this, the strong voices of the Maharashtra people are seen responding enthusiastically. The next moment, riots and fights are seen, and the faint voice of Thackeray Saheb is heard. The teaser gives hints that the film might be based on the life of Raj Thackeray. It also hints that the film will follow an emotional and powerful journey that focuses on themes that many people can relate to. Along with this, the teaser also featured the release of the much anticipated film. Yek Number is all set to hit theatres on October 10.
The teaser was released yesterday and has till now garnered 9,12,445 views on YouTube. Upon seeing the teaser, viewers shared their views in the comments section. One of the users commented, “So is this a biopic?" Another one added, “Raj Thackeray is the only true innovator of Maharashtra." Many added heart emoticons in the comment section.
Producer-actress Tejaswini Pandit said in a recent interview, “The teaser of the film is out. Positive feedback is coming from many. Judging by the response to the teaser, the movie is sure to be liked by the audience. Marathi audiences give special preference to the plot. The story of Yek Number is very amazing, and this story is the hero of this film. I don’t remember any such attempt in Marathi before."
Yek Number has been directed by National Award winner Rajesh Mapuskar, who has earlier worked in superhit films in Marathi and Bollywood. The film is produced jointly by Tejaswwini and Warda Khan S Nadiadwala under the banner of Sahyadri Films. The famed duo Ajay-Atul wrote the soundtrack for Yek Number, which has also captivated the Marathi and Hindi film industries.
