Shark Tank India 3: Namita Thapar Asks Anupam Mittal To Mop The Floor, Calls Him 'Most Enthusiastic'
In the recent episode of Shark Tank India 3, Namita Thapar jokingly asked Anupam Mittal if he would want to take the demo of a smart-mop product.

In the recent episode of Shark Tank India 3, we saw two young entrepreneurs introducing judges to their smart-mop called Caspian. They shared that their product aims to bridge the gap between technology and affordability. The pitchers claimed that their smart mop reduces cleaning time by 50 per cent. They asked for Rs 15 lakhs from sharks in return for 1 per cent equity in their company.

After the introduction, Namita Thapar jokingly asked Anupam Mittal if he would want to take the demo and mop the floor. She called him the “most enthusiastic" judge of Shark Tank India and argued that he loves taking product demos. “Anupam ko try karna hai. Aapne season 1, 2 and 3 dekha hoga na. Most enthusiastic shark for demos, voh Anupam hote hai. Aap unse karvaiye," she said. Vineeta Singh laughed at Namita’s comment and jokingly asked the pitchers to make the floor as dirty as possible. Anupam sportingly took on the challenge and tested the smart mop.

However, the pitchers failed to impress the sharks and went home without a deal. Namita shared that their product was not smart and asked them to focus on something else instead. “You both are very smart kids at 24, my strong advice to you is to discontinue this and use your engineering skills in something else. There is nothing smart about this product, you have not thought it through. As a product, this doesn’t offer anything special or new," she said.

Vineeta Singh also backed out and said, “Market ko lekar bilkul khoye hue hai aap. (You both seem very lost in terms of the market)." Anupam Mittal and Azhar Iqubal also did not offer anything to the young pitchers.

Shark Tank India returned with season three on January 22, 2024. Several familiar sharks from the previous seasons including Namita Thapar, Executive Director at Emcure Pharmaceuticals Limited, Aman Gupta, Co-founder of Boat, Peyush Bansal, Co-Founder and CEO of Lenskart, Anupam Mittal, Founder and Director of Shaadi.com and Vineeta Singh, CEO of Sugar Cosmetics, returned for Shark Tank India Season 3.

Joining them were also the new additions to the panel, which include Amit Jain, CEO and co-founder of Car Dekho, Ritesh Agarwal, Founder of OYO, Azhar Iqubal, Co-Founder and CEO of Inshorts, and Radhika Gupta, CEO of Edelweiss Capital. Recently, film producer Ronnie Screwvala also joined the show.
