Renowned TV actress Rupali Ganguly, known for her roles in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai and Anupamaa, recently appeared on Kiska Brand Bajega hosted by Aditya Bhat. In a candid conversation, Rupali opened up about her upbringing, career journey, and even her future aspirations beyond acting.

A highlight of the interview was Rupali’s heartfelt expression of her love for animals and her desire to actively support their welfare. She revealed plans to establish an animal reserve or shelter, inspired by the work of prominent philanthropists. “Like Anant Ambani is my hero today. Somebody who has the means and who’s used them to do animal welfare,” she said, acknowledging his amazing contributions to animal welfare. This passion for giving back aligns with Rupali’s long-held dream. She said, “My dream was to be the biggest philanthropist.”

Back in February, Anant Ambani, known for his love for animals, in a chat with CNN-News18’s Anand Narasimhan, opened up about a project extremely close to his heart — the launch of Vantara (Star of the Forest) programme. It’s an umbrella initiative to focus on rescue, treatment, care and rehabilitation of injured, abused and threatened animals.

Housed within the Green Belt of Reliance’s Jamnagar Refinery Complex in Gujarat, Vantara aims to be one of the leading contributors to conservation efforts globally. By working with leading experts in animal care and welfare, Vantara has converted a sprawling space into a jungle-like environment that mimics the natural, enriching, lush and verdant habitat for the rescued species to thrive in.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Rupali Ganguly celebrated her birthday by spending time with stray dogs near her studio. She cut a cake shaped like a paw and shared it with the dogs, winning the hearts of netizens with her thoughtful gesture. Not long back, the actress adopted an adorable puppy from an adoption event. She named the pup, Kachori Kumari Verma.
