Recently, it was reported that Anil Kapoor and Rani Mukerji are reportedly reuniting for the film Nayak’s sequel.

Rani Mukerji is one of the most versatile actresses in the industry. She has carved a niche for herself through powerful acting skills. She was last seen in Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway which garnered positive responses from the audience. Well, now a report is coming in that Rani Mukerji has finalized her next film which will be a family drama. Pinkvilla has exclusively reported that it will be directed by Shonali Bose and shoot will start in September.

“Rani Mukerji has been reading several scripts over the last 2 years and the one which has connected the best with her is Shonali Bose’s next. It’s an endearing family drama, and the makers are looking to take the film on floors from September 2024,” revealed a source close to the development.

“Junglee is looking to cast a big A-List actor as the leading man of the film. Joining Rani and the leading man will be a big ensemble and the casting is currently in-progress. More details on the film will be locked shortly,” the source added.

Recently, it was reported that Anil Kapoor and Rani Mukerji are reportedly reuniting for the film Nayak’s sequel. A source close to the production house shared that the film will pick up where the first part was left. Producer Mukut revealed the same and also spoke about Anil and Rani’s pairing. He also shared that the team will be making an announcement. Reportedly, the screenplay is a work in progress, and they are planning to ‘retain’ Anil and Rani’s respective roles.

According to a source cited by the news portal, the sequel is set to pick up the storyline from where it left off, delving into the aftermath of Shivaji and his family’s tenure in power. The source further indicated that Nayak 2 will delve into themes of corruption, bureaucracy, and, most importantly, the influence of the masses.
