Amid her wedding rumours with Jackky Bhagnani, Rakul Preet Singh has opened up about the importance of having a “right partner”. The actress was speaking to Cosmopolitan India recently when she explained that “ambitious” women should take their time to find a partner who can not only understand them but is also ready to share responsibilities.
“The way of the world is that the woman is the one who has to move out of her house or change her ways but there’s nothing we can do about it because it’s just the way it is. As women, we need to embrace it beautifully and think of it as a power. The more we will keep our mindset positive the easier it will be to navigate,” Rakul Preet Singh said.
“It is important to have the right partner. I would just say that all those women who are ambitious should be smart enough to take their time and find a partner who understands them and their dreams so that they can share responsibilities. Of course, men and women can have it all, and women can have a little more,” the actress added.
Interestingly, Rakul Preet Singh’s words come at a time when her wedding rumours with Jackky Bhagnani have been making headlines for a long time now. Reportedly, the couple will tie the knot on February 21 in Goa in an intimate ceremony which will only be attended by their family members and close friends.
Previously, in an interview with Film Companion, Rakul spoke about her relationship with Jackky when she said, “We’re both of the opinions that there is nothing to hide or be sly about a relationship. If you are in one, the best thing is to give each other that respect and acknowledge it. Let’s face it. We all know who the couples are, hiding and running. Both of us don’t come from that school of thought.”
