Rakul Preet Singh Reveals She Rejected A Partner For Ordering Fried Food: 'If We Can’t Share A Meal...'
Rakul Preet Singh opened up about a time when she turned down a potential partner simply because he chose to order fried food.

Rakul Preet Singh’s relationship with food goes beyond just sustenance; it plays a key role in how she navigates her personal connections. In a recent interview, she revealed how food preferences have impacted her romantic life, even becoming a deal-breaker at times. Recalling a past encounter, Rakul shared that she once rejected a potential partner solely because he ordered fried food. “I didn’t want a frivolous man, or someone who shows off. These are still big things, I didn’t even want anybody who would order fried food,” she confessed during a candid interaction with Ranveer Allahabadia. In fact, the breaking point came when he ordered fried gyozas.

Her decision went beyond just a food preference—it was about shared values. “People have their own food choices, but it got worse when he looked down upon the food I ordered. He was like, ‘What are you eating, what is healthy?’ And that’s where I was like, ‘Out’. If we can’t share a meal and a lifestyle, it’s pointless,” she explained, highlighting how food can symbolize deeper lifestyle compatibility.

In contrast, her relationship with Jackky Bhagnani thrives on such shared values. Rakul revealed that one of the couple’s bonding rituals is as simple as enjoying a protein bar together. “For us, sharing that protein bar is fun. It’s like our dessert. It’s our joy. I come back from shoot, he returns from his office, and we’re like, ‘Adha adha protein bar khaye kya?’ These are small joys in life that money, fame and success can’t buy,” she said, describing the kind of intimate moments that strengthen their bond.

Interestingly, Rakul also shared a more spiritual relationship with food at one point in her life. She followed a vegan diet for a year and even spoke to her food as part of her self-healing process. “I was trying to heal something. My blood work was a little unusual. I had gone vegan to do self-healing. I was talking to my food before eating it. I healed in six months. Then I went back to being a non-vegetarian,” she revealed, showing her unique approach to wellness.

Rakul Preet Singh married Jackky Bhagnani in February this year, and she continues to juggle her personal life with a busy career. She will soon be seen in the much-anticipated sequel ‘De De Pyaar De 2’, alongside Ajay Devgn.
