Kannada film industry’s beloved couple, Radhika Pandit and Yash, are celebrating a special milestone in their love story—8 years since their engagement. To mark the occasion, Radhika shared heartfelt throwback photos on social media, capturing the essence of their journey together.
In her post, Radhika expressed her deep affection for Yash, writing, “8yrs ago on this day when we got engaged I knew I’d choose you in a hundred lifetimes.”
The couple’s engagement took place in an intimate ceremony in Goa 8 years ago, setting the stage for their enduring relationship. Radhika and Yash first met on the set of the TV show ‘Nandagokula,’ where their on-screen chemistry blossomed into real-life love. Their collaboration extended to films like ‘Mr and Mrs Ramachari,’ ‘Santhu Straight Forward,’ ‘Moggina Manasu,’ and ‘Drama,’ further solidifying their bond. The couple tied the knot in December 2016, and they have since welcomed two children, daughter Ayra in 2018 and son Yatharv in 2019.
Meanwhile, Kannada actor Yash has begun shooting for Toxic. The film, which marks his first outing since K.G.F: Chapter 2, has started filming on August 8. Yash confirmed the project has gone on floors on Thursday morning. In the photo, Yash was seen sporting a new look as well, revealing his look for the film.
The actor had opted for a short hairdo along with a beard. For the first day of the shoot, Yash opted for a white shirt with a pair of jeans. He shared the photo on X with the caption, “The journey begins #Toxic.”
Ahead of the filming schedule, Yash was seen visiting several temples in Karnataka, accompanied by producer Venkat K. Narayana and their families. Their spiritual journey included visits to the Shri Sadashiva Rudra Surya Temple, Shri Manjunatheshwara Temple in Dharmasthala, and the Kukke Subramanya Temple in Subramanya. This ritual aligns with Yash’s tradition of seeking blessings and ensuring a positive beginning for his new projects, much to the delight of his fans.
Although Yash has been tight-lipped about the film, a Pinkvilla report recently claimed that Yash takes on the role of a suave underworld leader in the movie. However, the portrayal deviates significantly from his character in the KGF series. Describing the character as an underworld don, the narrative adopts a modern and global approach. Drawing inspiration from iconic international series like Peaky Blinders, the film’s essence explores a sophisticated conflict, intriguingly different from the traditional underworld genre.
While Yash plays the lead, Kiara Advani has been roped in to play the leading lady. Tamil superstar Nayanthara has also been brought on board of the film as Yash’s sister. The film is slated to hit theatres on April 10, 2025, and expectations are high for this new chapter in Yash’s journey.
