Prithviraj Sukumaran Joins Hands With Rorschach Director Nissam Basheer For This Thriller

Prominent names in the Malayalam cinema director Nissam Basheer and Prithviraj Sukumaran are teaming up for an exciting new project. The makers took to their official social media handles to share the announcement.

On Tuesday, Prithviraj Sukumaran took to his official Facebook account to share the announcement with images of the film’s signed document seemingly its poster, which carries its title. The title of the project is Nobody, set to be made under the direction of Nissam Basheer. He is known for the critically acclaimed Mammootty starrer Rorschach and Kettiyollaanu Ente Maalakha.

According to the title poster, the film is penned by Sameer Abdul, who also wrote Rorschach. It is being produced by Supriya Menon, Mukesh R Mehta and CV Sarathi under the Prithviraj Productions and E4 Entertainment banners. The film was officially announced during the success party of Prithviraj’s latest release Guruvayoorambala Nadayil. According to the Aadujeevitham actor, “This is a film that tries to present a familiar genre in a new way.” More details on the project are awaited in the coming days.

At the event, the director delved into more details on the film’s genre. He said, “It’s a thriller, there’s some family drama, there’s some heist and there’s action.” According to scriptwriter Sameer, the film also includes socio-political elements and they have incorporated some dark humour. Prithviraj revealed that his good friend, producer Listin Stephen introduced him to a “talented director” Nissam Basheer.

Talking about the actor’s other projects, Prithviraj was last seen in Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, a comedy release helmed by Vipin Das. The cast includes Prithviraj Sukumaran, Basil Joseph, Nikhila Vimal, Anaswara Rajan and Yogi Babu. Deepu Pradeep penned the project while it was produced by Supriya Menon, Mukesh R Mehta and C V Sarathi under the banners of Prithviraj Productions and E4 Entertainment. Ankit Menon composed the music. Released on May 16, the film became the fifth highest-grossing Malayalam film of the year.
