Trigger Warning: Suicidal/Self-harm
Pratick Sejpal became a household name after he appeared on Bigg Boss OTT’s debut season. Now, the actor is impressing the audience with his charm in JioCinema’s new show, Jab Mila Tu. Set against the backdrop of Goa, the drama series explores love and friendship amid chaos. Pratick recently opened up about the chaos in his love life and spoke about being in toxic relationships.
The actor has said several times that he is single. He recently told News18 the reason behind not pursuing new relationships. He said, “I’ve often been toxic in relationships, which has kept me from pursuing new ones. This pattern started way back in school, around 2nd or 4th grade. In those days, dating meant doing anything to impress your crush. A friend suggested a drastic measure – cutting my wrist to show love. Though hesitant, I eventually made a small cut in an attempt to gain sympathy.”
Earlier, while promoting the show, the actor had said, “I am single and will stay the same way for now. Mai apne pyaar ki ‘talab’ on-screen poori kar leta hoon. I have always been a very toxic guy in relationships. In my past, relationships seemed like a repetitive cycle of breakups and makeup. Recently, during one breakup, I noticed a change. Though I didn’t feel sad, there was an inner voice urging me to shed a tear. So, for the first time, I applied glycerine, cried in front of her, and then ended things.”
The series also features Mohsin Khan, Eisha Singh and Alisha Chopra in key roles. The show has been available to stream for free since January 22, 2024. Jab Mila Tu is a 24-episode series, with four episodes premiering every week. Directed by Lalit Mohan, created by Nisheeth Neelkanth and Harjeet Chhabra and produced by Two Nice Men, Jab Mila Tu is available in Tamil, Kannada and Bengali languages on the streaming platform.
