Writer-producer Twinkle Khanna has been invited to speak at The Oxford Union, the world's most prestigious debating society. The 43-year-old actor-turned-author will address the students of the Oxford University on January 18 and will showcase her maiden production, PadMan.

The biographical comedy-drama is a fictionalised account of Tamil Nadu-based Muruganantham, who created affordable sanitary napkins for the women of his village and is set for release on January 25. The film stars Twinkle's husband actor Akshay Kumar in the title role.

She will also give an insight into the story of the movie and how it would play an interesting role in tackling taboos and addressing stigma around menstrual hygiene. This will also be the first Indian film to be screened at the Oxford Union.
Directed by R Balki, the film also features Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor.
