Odela 2: Tamannaah Bhatia's First Look As Shiva Shakthi Is Fantastic

On the occasion of Maha Shivratri, Tamannaah Bhatia surprised her fans by revealing the first look of her character in Odela 2. The actress shared a poster that showed her as a Shiva devotee, dressed in a maroon and orange salwar suit. Bhatia has a damru in one hand and a thread-covered stick in her other hand. Her forehead is covered with holy tilak. She appears immersed in ‘dhyan’ as she walks barefoot on what looks like one of the ghats in Varanasi.

Sharing this look, Tamannaah Bhatia wrote, “I am glad to be revealing the first look on this auspicious day of Maha Shivaratri. Har Har Mahadev! Happy Maha Shivaratri.” As per the poster, the actress will be portraying ‘Shiva Shakthi’.

Last week, the filmmakers announced that they will be shooting the supernatural thriller in Varanasi. The Hindu reported that Odela 2 would revolve around the fictional village of the same name. The film would show how a “true saviour Odela Mallanna Swamy” goes on to protect his village from evil forces.

Created by Sampath Nandi and produced by D. Madhu, Odela 2 is helmed by Ashok Teja. It is interesting to note that both Sampath Nandi and Ashok Teja were also a part of Odela Railway Station, a 2022 Telugu crime thriller.

The cinematography is headed by Soundar Rajan S while Ajaneesh Loknath of Kantara fame is in charge of music. Rajeev Nair has been roped in as the art director. Alongside Tamannaah Bhatia, the film’s cast includes Hebah Patel, Vasishta N Simha, Surender Reddy, Naga Mahesh, Vuva, Vamshi, Bhupal, Gagan Vihari, and Pooja Reddy.

Odela 2 is the sequel of Odela Railway Station. The film was inspired by real incidents that occurred in the village of Odela in Telangana. The prequel revolved around a serial killer who targeted newly married women in a village. A young trainee IPS officer, who was freshly posted to the village, was tasked with catching the culprit.

Odela Railway Station premiered on OTT platform Aha on August 26, 2022. Thanks to the success of the film, Odela 2 is being made on a bigger budget. It appears that Odela 2 will aim for a theatrical release. However, there has been no official update about the release date so far.
