When Mannara Chopra was in the Bigg Boss 17 house, her cousin and global icon Priyanka Chopra penned a note supporting her. However, Parineeti Chopra never extended her support to Mannara during Salman Khan’s show. In a recent interview, Mannara was asked about the same when she revealed that the Mission Raniganj actress sent her a congratulatory message after the Bigg Boss finale.
“I did not know Priyanka didi supported me. I really thanked her for that. I am really grateful to all my family members who supported me,” Mannara told Siddharth Kannan.
She further revealed that she hadn’t met Parineeti after her marriage and added, “When I came back from Bigg Boss, she sent me a long message saying ‘we are very happy on the journey and this is a new beginning.’ I wrote thank you to her. She texted me and I am very happy about it. I have not really seen her after marriage.”
“As sister to sister, I feel that whatever I have become in my life, it is really because of my hard work, my genuine approach towards work. Because I look at work like ‘black and white.’ If it’s happening, it’s happening, otherwise no. I really don’t rely. I am like a fighter. I am a very work-oriented girl. When it comes to family, I have expectations of love and respect. If that is missing, I get hurt,” Mannara concluded.
Hailing from Ambala, Mannara Chopra is the cousin of Bollywood divas Parineeti and Priyanka Chopra. Mannara’s mother, who is a jewellery designer by profession, is the sister of Parineeti and Priyanka’s fathers. While Mannara’s father is a lawyer, she also has a younger sister named Mitali. She has worked in several Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada films.
The Bigg Boss 17 finale was held on January 28, 2024. Munawar Faruqui emerged as the winner of Salman Khan’s show. Mannara Chopra was the second runner-up.
