Alia Bhatt took to Instagram on Wednesday to wish her elder sister Shaheen Bhatt on her 30th birthday, once again showcasing the warm, fuzzy bond that the two siblings share.
Sharing a black-and-white image of Shaheen, Alia wrote, “Happy birthday wonder woman ???? My best friend, my soul mate, my person!!!! No Instagram post or birthday message or call can do justice to the amount of oozing love I feel for you right now and every time I look at your beautiful face.. I love you sir! Those eyes are an instant fix for everything that's not right.. So I think you should come back very fast because your little sister misses you too much and life is seeming not as fun without you at home!! Also we need eat some keto cake and dance on the sofas ????✨????.”
Shaheen was first diagnosed with depression when she was 18. She detailed her struggle with the illness in her first book, I’ve Never Been (un) Happier, which was released on October 10—World Mental Health Day—this year.
After reading the book, Alia shared a series of heartwarming videos congratulating Shaheen and apologizing for every time she did not understand her lows or was not by her side.
Shaheen is currently studying interior designing at The Interior Design School in London.
Alia, meanwhile, has a string of interesting films lined up, including Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy, Abhishek Verman’s Kalank and Karan Johar’s Takht.
