The teaser for Kunchacko Boban’s upcoming film Grrr came out on Saturday, May 4. The upcoming movie is directed by Ezra fame Jay K. Jayakrishnan. The film is said to be a comedy and revolves around a man’s misadventure in a lion’s enclosure.

The teaser shares glimpses of Kunchacko Boban’s character, who deliberately jumped into a lion’s den at the Thiruvananthapuram zoo and is seen provoking the animal. Along with him, Suraj Venjaramoodu is seen to play a prominent role as one of the zookeepers who attempt to rescue him. The upcoming project is backed jointly by Shaji Nadesan and actor Arya under the banner of August Cinema. The technical crew comprises Jayesh Nair (cinematographer), Vivek Harshan (editor), and Dawn Vincent (background score). Dawn, Kailas Menon, and Tony Tarz composed the songs, while filmmaker Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval handled the production design.

Earlier, the makers surprised the viewers and dropped an exciting poster for the upcoming film. Kunchacko Boban shared the poster on his official Instagram handle. The intriguing poster shows Kunchacko Boban and Suraj Venjaramoodu looking scared as they come face-to-face with a lion. It shows a unique low shot from the lion’s perspective, while the stars look visibly fearful. Sharing the poster, Kunchacko Boban wrote, “Roaring Fun soon. Grrr."

On the professional front, Jayakrishnan made his directorial debut with Ezra, a horror thriller released in 2017. The film starred Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Sudev Nair, Sujith Shankar, and Priya Anand as the main leads. The movie was later remade into Hindi and titled Dybbuk.
