Director Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s film 12th Fail, featuring Vikrant Massey, is earning praise for its emotional narrative and gripping performances. Despite the limited response during its theatrical release, the movie received the much deserved recognition and attention upon its OTT release. Interestingly, Bollywood figures like Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Rishabh Shetty, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal had previously praised the film. The latest addition to join this list is Kareena Kapoor, who expressed her admiration for the entire team of 12th Fail on her Instagram stories. Showering the cast and crew with praise, she referred to them as legends.
It appears that Kareena found a moment to watch the film inspired by Anurag Pathak’s 2019 book, about the inspiring journey of Manoj Kumar Sharma from extreme poverty to an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer. The Jaane Jaan actress loved the film and applauded its entire team. The Bollywood beauty, taking to her Instagram stories, applauded director Vidhu Vinod Chopra, along with actors Vikrant Massey, Medha Shankr, Anant Joshi, Anshuman Pushkar and others. Impressed by their combined effort, she labelled them as “Legends”.
Earlier, 12th Fail star Vikrant Massey had a fanboy moment when he shared the screen with Kareena Kapoor during the Film Companion Actors’ Adda 2023 interview. The interview featured talented actors such as Bobby Deol, Tillotama Shome, Jaideep Ahlawat, Jyothika and Siddharth. After the interview, Vikrant seized the opportunity to capture a delightful moment with the Jab We Met actress and both the Bollywood artists smiled for the camera. Sharing the picture on Instagram, Vikrant wrote, “I’ve always loved her. But this day, I fell in love all over again.”

At the recently held 69th Filmfare Awards, 12th Film won numerous awards at the prestigious event, including Best Film, Best Director and Best Screenplay to Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Best Actor (Critics) to Vikrant Massey.
On the work front, Vikrant Massey is set to appear in Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba and an untitled web series produced by Rajkumar Hirani. Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor is preparing for the release of The Buckingham Murders later this year, which was earlier screened during the opening of Mumbai Film Festival at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in October. Additionally, she has projects like The Crew, where she’ll feature opposite Tabu and Kriti Sanon, followed by Ajay Devgn’s star studded movie, Singham 3, directed by Rohit Shetty.
