Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan-starrer film Devara Part 1 was released on the big screens on September 27, 2024, and received mixed reviews. As per the audience, the film had amazing visuals but lacked a compelling storyline. Now, it is all set for its OTT release. As per reports, the film is expected to make its OTT debut on November 8, 2024, in multiple languages. Netflix, the official streaming partner, has yet to announce this officially on social media. Despite the mixed reviews, Devara Part 1 has emerged as a massive box office success worldwide. According to reports, the film – written and directed by Koratala Siva – has surpassed the Rs 400 crore collection at the box office. Devara Part 1 also stars actors Janhvi Kapoor, Prakash Raj, and Meka Srikanth in important roles. NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts have backed this film.
Devara Part 1 was one of the much-anticipated films of Jr NTR. Despite the massive collection at the box office, it failed to leave an ever-lasting impact on the audience. The 41-year-old actor talked about it in an interview. According to him, “We, as an audience, have become very negative these days. We are not able to enjoy a film in an innocent manner anymore,” said Jr NTR. Reflecting on his own experience watching films with his children, he noted that kids simply enjoy films without analysing or overthinking.
Jr NTR said that he wonders why we are not able to be that innocent anymore. He said that the viewers are all constantly judging, analysing, and overthinking films. He felt that maybe the viewer’s exposure to cinema has made us like this.
Jr NTR is looking forward to his upcoming film War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji. Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani will play important roles in this film. Currently, the film is in production and is expected to hit the cinema halls on August 14, 2025. As of now, there are no reports regarding the film’s plot. Yash Raj Films has backed War 2.
