Jigra trailer: Alia Bhatt is all set for her next release Jigra co starring Vedang Raina. The makers have released the trailer. The trailer starts with Alia Bhatt’s character receiving a late-night call, informing her that her brother, Ankur (played by Vedang Raina), has been arrested. Confused and worried, she asks him if he’s done anything wrong and if his blood tests will be clean. One then sees Ankur in a courtroom in a foreign country, unable to understand the language, as he’s taken into custody.

Determined to save her brother, Alia sets off on a mission, desperate to see him. She asks if hurting herself would force the authorities to let her visit him, but she’s repeatedly denied access. We watch as she travels to the country where he’s being held and begins her fight to get him released. The trailer picks up with intense action as Alia performs daring stunts, evading guards and taking extreme measures to save her brother, who is being tortured in jail. As she faces roadblocks at every turn, she refuses to give up.

The teaser of the film opened with Alia Bhatt having a drink in a hotel and talking about her brother. She reveals how her mother died, following which her father died by suicide. Relatives offered them shelter, but it came at a cost. While talking, she refers to the person sitting opposite her as Mr Bhatia and says that her brother has very little time as she gulps down the drink. Her decision leads her to very dangerous paths where she has to fight, escape gunshots, prevent taking her own life and yet find a way to reach her brother.

Last year, Alia Bhatt talked about Jigra and opened up about its plot. She had revealed that the film is a story of ‘courage, passion and determination’. “Just a little over a year later, we are ready to launch our second production – Jigra, a beautiful story of courage, passion and determination. I hope to consistently support compelling narratives that are authentic, and enduringly timeless and work with brilliant creative minds to bring them alive," Alia had added.
