Jennifer Lopez has returned to social media for the first time since the news of her divorce from Ben Affleck broke, offering her fans a glimpse into her life at present. The 55-year-old actress and singer, who was last seen in the film Atlas, made her comeback on Instagram Stories on Friday, August 23. Instead of a brand-new post, she chose to share her selfie posted by a fan page. This photo had a touch of holiday spirit that caught the attention of her followers. In the image, Lopez is seen posing confidently for the camera, showing off her voluminous blonde hair that cascades around her face.
She’s dressed in a cosy, blush pink-coloured two-piece outfit that looks both comfortable and stylish. However, what really steals the show in the background is a large, beautifully decorated Christmas tree. The tree is adorned with gift boxes and floral arrangements underneath. Alongside the tree is a wardrobe rack filled with clothes.

The selfie appears to be from a glam session JLo had back in December 2020. To give more context, a similar photo from a different angle was shared by celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton, who was responsible for Lopez’s stunning look that day. He even described her look as “Deluxe Glam Barbie.”

This is the first time Lopez has shared anything on social media since filing for divorce from Affleck earlier in the week, reportedly on Tuesday, August 20.
According to court documents obtained by People magazine, Lopez cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for ending her two-year marriage with Affleck. The documents also reveal that the couple had been separated since April 26, long before the public became aware of their troubles.
Lopez and Affleck’s love story has been closely followed by fans and the media alike over the years. The couple originally got married in a small, private ceremony in Las Vegas on July 17, 2022. A month later, they hosted a grand wedding celebration in Georgia, surrounded by family and friends.
This divorce marks the end of Lopez’s fourth marriage. Affleck, on the other hand, is going through his second divorce. Lopez is the mother of twins, Emme and Max, whom she shares with her ex-husband Marc Anthony. Affleck has three children – Violet, Seraphina and Samuel with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
