Martial arts icon Jackie Chan recently caused a stir among fans with his new appearance. In the photos, the actor is seen carrying a grey hair look. Once the pictures surfaced online, fans expressed their concerns about Jackie Chan’s health. Now, the actor clarified that his current look is for an upcoming movie. This comes a month after photos of Jackie Chan sporting grey hair at an event in China sparked concerns among fans.
Chan, in an Instagram post, then clarified to his fans that his aged appearance was for a role in the upcoming American martial arts film, reassuring everyone that he is in good health. A couple of days ago, on the occasion of his 70th birthday, the action star reflected on aging, sharing multiple old pictures of himself on Instagram. As birthday wishes poured in, Chan shed light on his successful career spanning more than sixty years, spent largely in the public eye.
Reflecting on his 62-year career in entertainment, Chan expressed gratitude for still being able to film, saying that he considers himself “lucky.”
“Every time I hear this number, my heart would stop for a second – I’m 70 years old already?” Chan added. He recalled a saying from his colleague, Sammo Hung, emphasising the fortune of growing old, especially in their line of work where the risks are high.

Amid the buzz surrounding his appearance, Chan acknowledged the concerns of “a lot of friends” about his health and explained, ” I want to take this opportunity to let everyone know, don’t worry! It’s just a character appearance for my latest movie. The character requires me to have white hair, white beard and look old. Over the years, I’ve always been willing to try new things for a movie.”
Expressing his gratitude for his journey, Chan said, “I’m lucky I’m still filming today.” He recalled the memories made, stating, “All I can say is: I love making movies and I love you all.” Fans can rest assured that Jackie Chan is in good health and continuing to entertain audiences with his talent and dedication to his craft.
