The upcoming sequel to the 2003 hit movie Ishq Vishk, titled Ishq Vishk Rebound, is set to be released on June 21 this year. This romantic comedy is anticipated to delve into themes of love and its intricacies from a Gen Z perspective. Starring Rohit Saraf, Jibraan Khan, Naila Grrewal, and Pashmina Roshan (cousin of Hrithik Roshan) in the lead roles, the film has already built excitement among fans with the release of its second song ‘Soni Soni’.
Soni Soni is a mesmerizing romantic song where Rohit and Pashmina not only display their chemistry but also their impressive dance skills. The music is crafted by Rochak Kohli, while the heartfelt lyrics are penned by Gurpreet Saini. Darshan Raval, Jonita Gandhi, and Rochak Kohli have contributed their enchanting voices to this track. The choreography for the captivating dance sequences is skillfully done by Vijay Ganguly.
Set against the backdrop of a scenic party venue, the song features Rohit Saraf and Pashmina Roshan gracefully moving to the infectious beats. Their on-screen chemistry adds an extra spark to the already charming melody, making it the perfect romantic anthem for this summer season.
Ishq Vishk Rebound stars Rohit Saraf, Jibraan Khan, Naila Grrewal and Pashmina Roshan. The original film launched Shahid Kapoor. The remake has been produced by Ramesh Taurani and co-produced by Jaya Taurani under the banner Tips Films Limited and is all set to hit the theatres on June 28.
On Wednesday, Shahid Kapoor also took to his Instagram stories and shared a poster of the song. He penned down an emotional note as he also sent wishes to the new Ishq Vishk gang. “21 years and the track still sounds fresh. All the best guys! This one will always be special,” he wrote.
During the song launch event on Tuesday, Rohit Saraf told News18 Showsha exclusively he isn’t affected by the pressure that comes with the role. He also clarified that his movie is not the remake or sequel of Shahid Kapoor starrer.
“More than pressure, there’s a lot of gratitude. Because I feel like this is an opportunity not many people get and I don’t want to dilute that by putting that kind of pressure on myself. Sab itna aapass mein pressure bolte rehte hai, I feel like I should start taking pressure because in all honesty, abhi tak I wasn’t taking any; it’s not like a remake of the first Ishq Vishk, it’s not a sequel of the first Ishq Vishk. The only thing that is common between the two films is that they belong to the same franchise. It’s a new story altogether. It’s a love story about Gen Z, what they go through, and it is kinda exciting,” he said.
