Kartik Aaryan enjoyed a heartwarming meet and greet with legendary football “champions” at the Wembley Stadium in London, UK. The actor attended the UEFA Champions League final match between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund on Sunday, May 2. Real Madrid clinched the victory for the 15th time, defeating Dortmund by 2-0. In a social media post, the Chandu Champion actor was seen cheering for Los Blancos. In his latest Instagram entry, Kartik Aaryan shared a carousel of pictures and videos, giving fans a tour inside the Wembley Stadium. The glimpses also offered a sneak peek into his fun encounter with former football legends.

“A day with the Champions,” captioned Kartik Aaryan. The first clip opened with a glimpse of the official Champions League match ball. Kartik, all suited up for the occasion shared some brief visuals of the players engaged in the game of football. He signed the jerseys of some of his fans eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of the Bollywood star. Former Portuguese legend Luis Figo played a friendly match with Kartik, before having a short interaction with him. Kartik, a true-blue football aficionado flaunted his sports skills too.

While chatting with former Spanish footballer Luis Garcia, Kartik Aaryan learned that the winger used to play in Kolkata for three and a half months. He made Garcia utter a dialogue from his upcoming film Chandu Champion — “Chandu nahi. Champion hai tu.” Kartik shared the same frame with French coach Robert Pires, showing a thumbs-up gesture. He also smiled and interacted with other legends including Brazilian stalwarts Cafu and Kaka. A Real Madrid fan, Kartik cheered for his team in the Stadium chanting “Hala Madrid”. He posed for pictures with the trophy, flashing a smile. The actor also walked around Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund’s dressing rooms.

On the work front, Kartik Aaryan will be slipping into the shoes of India’s first Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar in director Kabir Khan’s Chandu Champion. The biopic sports drama is expected to hit the silver screens on June 14.
