The makers of the upcoming film Marivillin Gopurangal have announced a new release date. Directed by Arun Bose and produced by Kockers Media Entertainments, the film is set to hit theatres on May 10. The film stars Indrajith Sukumaran, Sarjano Khalid, Shruti Ramachandran, and Vincy Aloyshious in leading roles.
Popular music composer Vidyasagar, known as the King of Melodies, composed the music for the film, with the music rights held by Music 247. A star-studded cast including Saikumar, Bindu Panicker, Vasishth Umesh, Johnny Antony, Salim Kumar, Vishnu Govind, and others has been assembled for the upcoming film.
The director and Pramod Mohan penned the story for the movie together. Pramod Mohan also wrote the screenplay. Meanwhile, Vinayak Sasikumar wrote the lyrics.
Earlier, the film was expected to hit the cinema halls on April 12, according to an official announcement from the movie’s creators. The post of the announcement also went viral. The caption of the post invited people to celebrate the Eid-Vishu Festival by watching the movie in theatres worldwide starting April 12.
Other supporting roles are portrayed by Sai Kumar, Johny Antony, Salim Kumar, Vashisht Umesh, Vishnu Govind, and Bindu Panicker. With cinematography by Syamaprakash M S, the editing is overseen by Arun Bose and Shaijal P V.
The technical crew includes K R Praveen and Noble Jacob as creative producers and project designers. Jithesh Poyya is in charge of makeup, while Gayathri Kishore handles costumes.
Earlier the teaser for the movie Marivillin Gopurangal was released on Muzik 247’s YouTube channel on November 1. Touted to be a drama, the film revolves around a married couple who strive to achieve their dreams despite facing obstacles”.
The film Marivillin Gopurangal gets its name from a famous song in the 1998 movie Summer In Bethlehem. It starred Jayaram, Suresh Gopi, Kalabhavan Mani, and Manju Warrier, with a cameo by Mohanlal. The song Marivillin Gopurangal, sung by Srinivas and Biju Narayanan, was a huge success. Vidyasagar, who composed the music, won the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director for this song.
