In Pics: Devendra Fadnavis And Ajit Pawar Attend Nana Patekar's Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations

Every year, the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with enthusiastic participation by the devotees. Some of the biggest names from Bollywood also engage in vigorous displays of devotion to Lord Ganesh during the occasion. Veteran actor Nana Patekar is known to organise fervent celebrations, every year, inviting influential names.

As per the reports, the Chaturthi celebrations were held at the actor’s Pune residence, where the idol of Ganpati Bappa is installed every year. It is attended by many politicians; so, this year, the Deputy Chief Ministers of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, visited the actor for the occasion.

The viral video from the celebration, shared by ANI, shows the politicians and the actor paying respect and worshipping the Lord Ganesha idol, which is decorated and placed beautifully, within the home. As per the reports, the politicians and the actors also had lunch together. More stills from the event showcase Nana Patekar and Devendra Fadnavis in a warm hug, as the politician seems to depart the premises.

This year, the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi commenced on September 7. The festival lasts for ten days, until the day of Anantha Chaturdashi. Also called the Vinayak Chaturthi, the festival is celebrated worshipping Lord Ganesh, believed to be the god of beginnings and remover of obstacles.

On the work front, Nana Patekar was last seen in the film Ole Aale, a Marathi film released earlier this year, in January. Made under the direction of Vipul Mehta, the cast of the film includes Nana Patekar, Siddharth Chandekar, Sayali Sanjeev, Makarand Anaspure and others. It is produced by Rashmin Majithia under the banner of Coconut Movies Release, while the duo Sachin-Jigar handled the music.

The actor’s last Bollywood release was The Vaccine War, a Vivek Agnihotri directorial, released last year in September. The cast of the film includes Nana Patekar, Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Raima Sen, Sapthami Gowda and many others.
