Not every star kid has been successful at surviving the ever-changing dynamics of Bollywood. But Kajol has been an exception. With her consistent efforts, and stellar performances, Kajol has not only earned critical acclaim, but also won adulation from millions of fans too.
The actress who made her Bollywood debut with 1992 film Bekhudi, talked to CNN-News18’s Entertainment Editor on her successful completion of 25 years in the industry. ‘I think I wasn’t 18 when I started but 17 and a half. That was child labour,’ she chuckled, adding, “Somebody told me I have grown up watching you, and I told him, I have also grown up watching my own films."
On being asked if she knew she would stay committed to the profession of acting later as well? “Honestly, I didn’t expect it. It started as something to while away the time… But I had such a great time and it didn’t ever feel like work. Thankfully, till today it doesn’t feel like work."
