Glen Powell's Birthday: When Hollywood Hunk Credited Family For Keeping Him Grounded
“They do keep me humble, it's very funny to be on this journey with them," Glen Powell said.

Following the tremendous success of Top Gun: Maverick in 2022, Glen Powell has continued to make waves in 2024 with hit films like Anyone But You, Hit Man and his latest release, Twisters. Amidst the growing attention, the birthday boy remains grounded, largely thanks to his mother, Cindy. In a February interview with E! News, Glen expressed gratitude for his family’s role in keeping him “humble.” He humorously noted that he enjoys sharing the spotlight with them and revealed that his mom often critiques his fashion choices, especially when he’s preparing for red carpet events.

The actor spoke with the portal, while attending the Sundance premiere of his film, Hit Man and said, “They do keep me humble, it’s very funny to be on this journey with them. Mom, obviously sometimes you don’t realize the changes that are happening, but often your mother is the first person to realize that the temperature has changed a little. I think it’s probably my outfits. You know you go for style moments every once in a while, like popping my collar she keeps trying to take down my collar. She’s like, ‘Glen, you know, could look a little douchey.’ And I’m like, ‘Well, Hollywood is sort of douchey sometimes. That’s what we’re doing here’.”

“The thing that keeps me the most sane, with anything that changes I know that they’re going to be there and they’re the consistency in my life. They’re enjoying the ride as much as I am, they’d never miss a premiere. They never miss an opportunity to celebrate me and I’m really grateful for that,” Glen Powell added.

While promoting Anyone But You, Glen showed his family bond during the Christmas season. In December, he shared a sweet video on Instagram featuring his family dressed as characters from the beloved holiday movie, Elf. The clip captured them walking around New York City in matching green costumes and recreating some hilarious scenes from the Jon Favreau directorial. They were even seen spreading happiness, interacting with fans and they met Santa Claus. Sharing the video, the actor hilariously wrote, “It’s nice to be born into a family who shares my affinity for elf culture.”

Meanwhile, Glen Powell is busy with multiple projects, including Huntington, Monsanto, The Running Man, Backdraft, an untitled JJ Abrams movie and Top Gun 3.
