Sibling rivalry can be wild, even under the bright lights of a TV set. The Sprouse brothers, Dylan and Cole, known for their roles on Disney Channel’s Suite Life of Zack & Cody, had their fair share of off-screen drama. Recently, Dylan Sprouse reminisced about a particularly intense moment when their rivalry escalated to an all out fistfight in the dressing room, which also included WWE style moves. The brothers found themselves in the midst of a heated exchange until a fan’s unexpected visit to the set brought them back to reality. This revelation comes a week after Cole admitted that memories from their shooting days are somewhat hazy and claimed that some details are lost from his memories.
The 31-year-old actor told ENews, “We had a vicious fistfight one time. This is puberty. Brothers fight. We were scraping in the back, we were taking it through the hallways, like wrestling and fighting.” However, in the middle of their intense tussle, the Sprouse brothers found themselves in a humourous situation when an unexpected guest walked in and halted their fight. He recalled, “We got a knock on the dressing room door and the door opened and it’s a fan. She was like, ‘Hey, would you mind if I took a picture with you?’”
Dylan Sprouse further added that Cole then raised one of his arms and asked the fan, “Do you want to come back in five minutes?” Surprisingly, the individual agreed, shut the door and left. This interruption led both brothers to burst into laughter and Dylan humourously added that’s just how brothers are.
Meanwhile, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, which ran for 3 seasons between 2008 and 2011, revolved around twin brothers Zack and Cody Martin, played by Dylan and Cole, respectively. Set in the fictional Tipton Hotel, the twins resided in one of the hotel’s suites with their single mother, Carey Martin, played by Kim Rhodes, who worked as a lounge singer. The show also featured actors such as Brenda Song, Ashley Tisdale, Phill Lewis and Adrian R’Mante.
Following the conclusion of Suite Life of Zack & Cody, the Sprouse brothers reunited to play their iconic twin roles on the spinoff series, The Suite Life on Deck, which was on air until 2011. A year later, the brothers collaborated on a few commercials, which marked their last joint on-screen acting project. Despite the hiatus, there’s a ray of hope for fans as Dylan Sprouse claims he’s open to the possibility of an onscreen reunion with his brother.
