Days after Dalljiet Kaur filed an FIR against her estranged husband Nikhil Patel, she has now urged him to appear before the police. On Tuesday night, the actress took to her Instagram stories and penned down a note asking Nikhil to abide by the law.
“Please do respond to the FIR that has been registered against you by the Mumbai Police Nikhil Patel. You have given a public statement that you have received it. It’s time you get in touch with them and give them the acknowledgement they have been asking you on your emails and Whatsapp,” Dalljiet wrote.
Since Nikhil is currently in Kenya, Dalljiet asked him to take a flight to India on priority and appear before the concerned authorities. “You are on the wrong side of the law by dodging them ever since you received the FIR informed directly by the investigating officer of the Agripada police station. After the FIR is lodged and you are sent the copy, you are supposed to immediately go to the police station and meet the police according to the Indian law. It’s time you take a flight to India to meet the police and tell them what you told the paid PR today. #Justice I refuse to be bullied by you anymore @mumbaipolice @indian. police.services,” she added.
Earlier on Tuesday too, Dalljiet issued another statement in which she accused Nikhil of running from India after an FIR was filed against him. “You had three days in India after knowing about the FIR. Which you have just admitted you knew about. If the rubbish you have printed out right now was true, you would have gone to the police station and told your side to them instead of sending it out to your PR. After running away from India while the police kept telling you to visit them again and again. You PR stories are not going to give me justice and a person like you deserves to be punished,” she said in her statement.
Dalljiet Kaur and Nikhil Patel tied the knot in March 2023. However, the two filed for divorce earlier this year i.e. after 10 months of their wedding. Nikhil has repeatedly claimed that their marriage wasn’t legal and it was Dalljiet who decided to leave Kenya.
