CBFC Chief Pahlaj Nihalani Objects to the Word 'Intercourse' in Jab Harry Met Sejal
The film Jab Harry Met Sejal traces the love story of a Punjabi man played by Khan and a Gujarati girl essayed by Sharma.

The Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) - led by Pahlaj Nihalani - is all set to censor out a dialogue from the Imtiaz Ali directorial venture Jab Harry Met Sejal which features Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma in key roles.

The Censor Board chief hasn't given his approval to the usage of the word 'intercourse' mentioned in a dialogue from the film and shown in its second mini trail.

“In digital they don’t need a certificate to run. We have asked the producer to change the dialogue. There is a process. Things work according to that," he said.

Nihalani said that though the board had asked for the dialogue to be removed from the trailer, the filmmaker needn’t pay heed to the order.

Ashok Pandit - who is also part of the CBFC – not only confirmed Nihalani's objection to word intercourse in the trailer, but also mentioned that he does not have the authority to decide what goes on channels.

In the case of The Danish Girl or feature films to be shown on a channel, the makers require a censor certificate and Nihalani can choose to withhold. But to say he will take action against channels who have shown this trailer is not part of his purview.

Meanwhile, Jab Harry Met Sejal's mini trails continue to win hearts. On Wednesday, the makers released Radha - the film's first song.
