Cannes 2024: Kiara Advani Pays Tribute To 'Risk-Takers' At Women In Cinema Gala Dinner

At her Cannes debut this year, Kiara Advani turned heads with her stunning appearance. She also attended the Red Sea Film Foundation’s Women in Cinema Gala dinner, pictures and videos of which are all over the internet. Notably, the dinner gala was held on the sidelines of the 77th Cannes, drawing celebrities from across various industries. For dinner, she wore a pink and black satin gown with black gloves and a gorgeous Bulgari necklace.

While fans were largely impressed with the actress’ Cannes stint and her outstanding looks, a video has now surfaced from inside the dinner gala, showing Kiara speaking out of her heart. In the clip, the actress expresses her gratitude and pays tribute to all the women in the industry for their contributions over the years. She also made a special mention of Eva Longoria, who was present at the event.

“Could not be more grateful”

“It’s my first time at Cannes. I couldn’t be more grateful to be here with the Red Sea Film Foundation for supporting women for years as we love cinema. As I stand here, I want to take a moment to give gratitude to some of the most powerful women,” she said, further calling out the Hollywood star and adding, “Eva Longoria, you are here a big fan moment. Love you.”

Kiara Advani, while paying tribute to the contribution made by women artists in the industry, continued, “Risk-takers, the women who have really paved the way with their resilience and determination to make it easy for us, to make it easy for my generation, to pursue our dreams, and to succeed on our own terms.”

The video was also shared on the official Instagram account of Kiara Advani, along with pictures from the red carpet. She wrote, “Thank you @redseafilm and @vanityfair for inviting me to be a part of the Women in Cinema initiative. Deeply honoured and truly humbled to be amongst the honourees. An experience that will be forever cherished.”

In another video from the festival, the actress can be seen expressing her feelings, as it was a very “special and humbling moment” for her being there for the first time at Cannes.

On the work front, Kiara was last seen in Satyaprem Ki Katha opposite Kartik Aaryan. She is now gearing up for her South release with Ram Charan’s Game Changer. Also, she has two more exciting projects including War 2 with Hrithik Roshan and Don 3 with Ranveer Singh.
