Aparna Vastarey Remembered In Special Tribute By Husband Nagaraj
Aparna’s last rites were performed as per the Brahmin tradition.

Aparna Vastarey, prominent Kannada actor and anchor, died on July 11 after a two-year battle with lung cancer at the age of 57. As per reports, Aparna’s last rites were performed as per the Brahmin tradition. Her cremation took place at the electric crematorium in Bengaluru’s Banashankari.

Nagaraj Vastarey recently paid a special tribute to his wife Aparna conducting a programme called Hey Aparna Nudigathi’s Memories. Aparne’s photos were also captured in this memorial program. A poem was written with each photo. This one moment seemed special.

Veerkaputra Srinivas, a fan of Vishnuvardhan who attended it also wrote on his social media page.

Aparna’s special photos were kept in this special program organised by her husband Nagaraj Vastarey. A poem was written with each of these special photos. In a way, it can be said that it was a prayer meeting consisting of poetry, remembrance and songs.

Aparna was a presenter of various programs that aired on DD Chandana in the 1990s. Before marking her presence as a presenter on Kannada television, Aparna made her feature film debut in SR Puttana Kanagal’s film Masanada Hoovu in 1984. It stars Jayanthi, Ambareesh, Hema Chaudhari and Aparna in the lead roles. After this, she acted in a series of films like Sangrama, Nammoora Raja, Sahasa Veera, Mathru Vathsalya and Olavina Asare. She also acted in the films Inspector Vikram, Ondaagi Balu, Doctor Krishna and others.

After acting in average and semi-hit films at terms of box office, she stepped in as a television presenter with DD Chandana in 1990. She was a sought-after presenter by many productions until 2000. As per media reports, she was so engaged in her profession that once, she created a record by presenting shows for eight hours at a stretch. It was part of the Diwali celebrations in 1998.
