Sudhanshu Pandey left everyone surprised recently when he announced his sudden exit from Anupamaa. While the reason for him quitting the hit show isn’t known as of now, several unconfirmed media reports claimed that the actor left after his fallout with Rupali Ganguly. The actor announced his decision during the Instagram live session and left all fans in shock. Sudhanshu Pandey also expressed gratitude towards his fans for all the love and support. He also apologised for his sudden decision.
A rumour claimed that Sudhanshu left Anupamaa for a big fee to join Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 18. Sudhanshu denied this in a chat with Indianexpress.com, saying that it’s not true. Sudhanshu said, “It’s fake news about me joining Bigg Boss 18. In any case, that show is not meant for an actor like me. God willing, one day I will host it for sure, but won’t be there as a participant.”
Actors who left Anupamaa often joined popular reality shows, like Paras Kalnawat in Jhalak Dikhhlaa Jaa 10 and Kedar Aashish in Khatron Ke Khiladi 14. Sudhanshu, discussing his exit, told the portal, “All I would say is that when it is time for something, God gives you a signal. I have always believed that I am being given a signal. I felt it was time and I needed to move on. I was happy for four years, it was a great space to be in. I did a fantastic show, the show did fantastically well for everyone. It was a blessing all the way. I had my run for four years and I did my best. As an artiste one should recognise when it is time to move on and experiment with other things. As an actor, there is a lot more that is going to come in the near future.”
Recently reports suggested that Gaurav Khanna, who portrays Anuj, and Rupali Ganguly, who plays the titular character, are leaving the show. However, in a recent interview, Anupamaa producer Rajan Shahi dismissed these rumours in a chat with HT.
