After dropping a lawsuit that involved accusations of physical violence and verbal abuse against her husband, Angelina Jolie appears to be finally “relaxed and happy,” a report said. The actress recently made a stunning appearance at the New York Film Festival with her three kids, Maddox, Pax, and Zahara.

A source told InTouch, “She seems really relaxed and happy. It’s like she has turned over a new leaf.” This comes at a time when the Maria actress is “actively moving beyond the past.” Another source exclusively told People that Angelina does not want to be stuck in the past but instead wants to focus on her family, work, and the future—all things that make her happy.

Aboard a private jet in September 2016, Pitt allegedly became very violent toward his then-wife and children, an allegation that the actor denied. Following an investigation, the case was closed without any charges against him. Later in an October 2022 filing, Angelina Jolie’s lawyers alleged that Pitt “grabbed her by the head and shook her, and then grabbed her shoulders and shook her again before pushing her into the bathroom wall” during the flight. Additionally, he “lunged at his own child” before Angelina grabbed him from behind to stop him.

While the couple’s divorce proceedings are underway, they are locked in a separate legal battle over the ownership of the French winery Chateau Miraval.

Amid the messy feud with her ex-husband, Angelina Jolie has even expressed her wish to move away from Los Angeles. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, she explained that while she was in LA for a divorce, she would soon leave once her youngest children are 18. “I will spend a lot of time in Cambodia. I’ll spend time visiting my family members wherever they may be in the world,” she added.
