Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma's much talked about wedding -- which took place at Borgo Finocchieto, Tuscany, Italy on Monday -- in the presence of family members and close friends -- was nothing less than a big fat Indian wedding, from the venue to the wedding trousseau for both the bride and the groom looking nothing less than a dream. The duo, who tied the knot after in an intimate ceremony, looked like the perfect, made for each other couple in the colour-coordinated outfits.
While Virat and Anushka opted for world's second most expensive wedding destination (reportedly Anushka's choice) - an Italian vineyard - as the marriage venue, the duo also chose the best known Indian designer to get their wedding look right.
The two sported ensembles by ace designer Sabyasachi on their D-day, as well as for other ceremonies including haldi and engagement.
And while Virat looked suave in an 'ivory raw silk sherwani hand-embroidered in a vintage Benarasi pattern and signature house buttons with an old rose silk kota safa', it was difficult to get our eyes off Anushka who looked like an Indian princess in a pale pink lehenga with Renaissance embroidery in vintage English colors embellished with silver-gold metal thread, pearls and beads. The bridal jewelry was handcrafted with syndicate uncut diamonds, pale pink spinel and baroque Japanese cultured pearls by the Sabyasachi Heritage Jewelry collection.

While it is certain that Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma's wedding was 2017's most happening and talked about marriage, here's a list of other 2017 weddings and what the bride and the groom wore for their special day.
Bharti Singh-Haarsh Limbachiyaa
Laughter queen Bharti Singh tied the knot with Haarsh Limbachiyaa earlier this month in a traditional Hindu ceremony in Goa. And it was perfect, just as we expected it to be. While Haarsh looked dapper in a sherwani and pink turban, Bharti stole the limelight in a bright pink and blue Adhya lehenga paired with traditional jewelry by Anmol Jewellers.

Zaheer Khan-Sagarika Ghatge
Both Zaheer Khan and Sagarika Ghatge, who are presently honeymooning in Maldives, are also ruling social media with their lovely vacay pictures. But this isn't the first time the duo have broken the internet. Zaheer-Sagarika's wedding, which had made headlines too, was a private affair just like Virushka's. The former had later hosted two parties, for their relatives and friends from the cricket and film industry, something Anushka and Virat will also be doing.
On the wedding day, while Zaheer looked charming in a blush pink kurta, it was Sagarika who turned heads in a red silk Sabyasachi saree which was teamed with an embroidered coffee blouse by the same designer.

Samantha Prabhu-Naga Chaitanya
After dating each other for quite sometime, south superstars Samantha Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya finally tied the nuptial knot on October 6, 2017, in Goa in a south Indian and a Christian wedding. The wedding celebrations ended on October 9 with several photos of the couple dressed to the nines for the functions flooding the internet and taking the social media world by storm.
While Samantha looked like a royal princess for the Christian wedding dressed in gown designed by her close friend Kresha Bajaj of label Koesch, the actress looked beautiful in traditional Sabyasachi saree for her Hindu wedding.

Neil Nitin Mukesh-Rukmini Sahay
After a month of courtship, actor Neil Nitin Mukesh tied the knot with Rukmini Sahay earlier this year in a picture-perfect wedding ceremony at the royal locales of a five-star hotel in Udaipur with only family and close friends in attendance.
While Neil looked every bit a Maharaja in a Sarath Krishnan’s flared chudidaar and sherwani designed with pure aari, kardana and resham fabrics, Rukmini looked gorgeous in a red and orange pure silk embellished lehenga by the same designer.
