When it comes to award ceremonies, more than the final list of winners, it's usually the red-carpet looks which keep the fashionistas eager. At the Stardust Awards 2016, held in Mumbai last night, several celebrities opted for bolder fashion choices for the red carpet. With a bevy of stars making their way to the red carpet, the event turned out to be quite a glitzy affair this time. While some of them won hearts, others got the eyebrows raised.
Here's a quick lowdown on who wore what at the star-studded award ceremony.
Priyanka Chopra graced the red carpet in an Anamika Khanna ensemble. She teamed up a long embellished jacket with a pair of straight-fit pants.
Kajol chose a black Gauri and Nainika gown which accentuated her curves for the better. She looked like a million bucks as her dark lipshade and the half-tied hairdo worked wonders.
A Monsoori gown, sleek ponytail and drop-earrings - Surveen Chawla pulled off the look quite elegantly.
One of the actresses to ditch the gown-trend this time was Anushka Sharma. She wore a black Gaurav Gupta asymmetric jacket and pants ensemble. Her Louboutin sandals completed her look.
Another princessy look to Sonam's credit this time. Wearing a gown from Yanina Couture with a diamond headband and a small pair of studs, she owned her look.
Kriti Sanon looked stunning as she entered in a sequine strapless Papa Don't Preach creation. Her side swept hairdo worked well for the look.
Sonal Chauhan opted for a Shriya Som mermaid-cut black gown.
Aishwarya looked drop-dead gorgeous in a white embellished Rami Kadi gown. Her winged eye-liner and the bold red lipshade made for the perfect finishing touches.
Sridevi, just like Anushka Sharma, ditched the usual party gowns and turned up in a gold sequin Manish Malhotra pantsuit.
Tamannah Bhatia has been making quite some noise with her fashion statements and this time she decided on a Peter Langner gown.
Wearing her hair down with an Alexis Mabille white gown, Divya Khosla Kumar attended the award function.
Evelyn picked out an unusual gown from Gavin Miguel's collection.
In a Mayyur Girotra lehenga, Tanishaa Mukherjee attended the award function.
Daisy Shah also opted for a pantsuit just like Sridevi and Anushka Sharma. The difference, however, was that Daisy's Label D pantsuit boasted of asymmetric cuts on the side.
Jaqueline Fernandez also took the princessy route sporting a glittery gown to the red carpet.
Disha Patani made for an interesting sight as she opted for pale-pink separates for the evening.
Iulia Vantur turned heads in a mermaid style body-hugging strapless red gown.
Manisha Koirala was a vision in this bright yellow Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla ethnic ensemble.
