Animals and birds are often kept as pets in many households. They help in maintaining a positive environment in homes and live there as other family members. Dogs, cats and parrots are among the most popular pet animals and birds that are kept at home. Parrots are kept as pets because they interact a lot with humans. Usually, most species of parrots can make excellent companions. They are mostly kept in cages and fed with fruits and vegetables. In Indian households, they are often referred to as ‘Mithhu’.
Despite being extremely fun and loving, some people consider petting parrots inauspicious. According to Vastu expert Divya Chhabra, it is highly auspicious to keep a parrot at home. But there are always recommendations regarding the direction of their cage. It is believed that keeping a parrot in the north direction of the house helps children concentrate on their studies.
It is also believed that keeping a parrot in the house prevents diseases and helps people remain happy. As per Vastu Shastra, if a house has a parrot or a picture of a parrot, then it protects the house from troubles caused by some planets. It is also advised that it is important to keep the parrot happy because if it remains angry, then it is considered highly inauspicious. By keeping a parrot at home, the relationship between husband and wife improves, and the atmosphere also remains positive.
Many people are even advised to keep a parrot, as it is a part of their birth chart. But if someone has been specifically advised not to keep it and they still pet it, then it is inauspicious. If the parrot is not happy, then it can also curse its owner, which can cause problems in the house. Apart from that, if people are fighting at home and use foul language, then parrots can catch those words and start repeating them. This can also affect the environment of the house.
