Is Water Cooler Causing More Humidity In Your Room? Here’s How To Deal With It
Even within the comfort of our homes, escaping humidity can be a daunting task.

Summers have finally crept into our homes, closely followed by humidity. To avoid the scorching sun, people install air coolers and air conditioners in their homes for comfort. Some people keep the AC on all day at home, while others run coolers and fans. Even within the comfort of our homes, escaping humidity can be a daunting task. Users of room coolers have to face a lot of humidity problems. Due to the moisture, people often feel uncomfortable and a good sleep becomes a mere wish. From promoting the growth of mould to creating condensation on walls, high humidity levels can lead to a host of issues. The users of room coolers need not worry. Here are some tips through which you can overcome this problem.

Avoid Cooler In Rooms

Some people keep coolers inside the room. It is a wrong move. Always place the cooler out of the room, out of the window, or out of the door. When the room is closed, the warm air in the room stays inside. Due to high heat, cold water inside the cooler causes moisture in the air. The cooler users might feel sticky as a reason.

Turn Off Water Pump

If for some reason you cannot place the cooler near a window outside the room, turn off the water pump in the cooler and operate the fan only. Once the water stops running, the moisture will automatically wash off from the room.

Run Cooler With Ceiling Fan

Run a cooler and ceiling fan or both fans together to remove moisture. Also, keep the windows slightly open so you don’t feel the humidity. When you turn on the fan, its air circulates throughout the room along with the cooler’s air. With the help of the fans or ceiling fans, you can avoid moisture from the cooler.

Exhaust Fan

If your room has an exhaust fan, switch it on along with the cooler. If not in the room, you can turn on the exhaust fan in the bathroom attached to the room. It can also lead to moisture wicking.

Cooler Speed

Run the cooler from medium to high speed. It also reduces the humidity in the room to a great extent. High winds also reduce humidity. You can also remove the cool panel. It increases the air intake which gives some relief from humidity and feel cooler.
