People from around the world visit Sadhguru to seek his blessings and life advice.

Having a healthy lifestyle ensures your long-term fitness, be it physically or mentally. To achieve that, you should start by eating right, which means consuming food that will be beneficial to your body. Let us take a look at Sahguru’s advices and suggestions regarding this. A lot of people from around the world visit Sadhguru’s Isha Center, in hopes of getting life advice and blessings from him. As per the reports, he has given several pieces of advice to others on how to live a happier and healthier life. It is believed that his advice on food follows the ancient traditional system of medicine. Here are some of his suggestions regarding diet and food habits which may prove to be good for our health and lifestyle.

Many believe that to lose or control weight one meal is enough for the day. But according to Sadhguru, one can try following the two-meal diet, so that they do not risk having nutritional deficiencies. He suggests that you can have a meal at 10 am, and the other at 7 pm.

Sadhguru himself only eats one meal a day on most days. He says that medical experts warn him frequently that his dietary restrictions could have a bad effect on his health, and he risks dying of starvation. He further states, “It is advisable to take any food at least once in 4 hours. But most days I eat only one meal a day. I have chosen my path and am living a healthy life.”

These days many people prefer eating with forks or spoons, but Sadhguru says that it is better to eat food with your hands. He claims that unless touched by hands, how can the food be healthy? According to him, a spoon may contain bacteria if we choose to eat food with it, and risk getting infections. So, using our hands is a better option, as we can clean it thoroughly.

He says while eating, we must remember to be grateful to those who produced this food. They have put their hard work in its production, and brought it to our plate.
