It is a time to rejoice for all Korean entertainment fans as they get ready for the highly-anticipated film adaptation of Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint (working title). Reportedly, its filming has already started with a star-studded cast on January 24. The confirmed lineup includes Lee Min Ho, Ahn Hyo Seop, Chae Soo Bin, Shin Seung Ho, Nana, Park Ho San, Choi Young Joon, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, and more, with production kicking off in December. Accompanying the cast announcement, behind-the-scenes stills were released by the team behind the film, showcasing the actors engrossed in script reading sessions. These images heightened expectations for the film, generating excitement for the portrayal and synergy of the ensemble.
Based on a web novel of the same name by writer Sing Shong, Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint follows the story of Kim Dok Ja (Ahn Hyo Seop), whose reality transforms into that of the web novel he once read, with Yoo Joong Hyuk (Lee Min Ho) as the central character. The film, directed by Kim Byung Woo of The Terror Live and Take Point, is being produced by REALIES Pictures, known for the Along with the Gods series, and Smilegate, a global entertainment group, marking its first Korean film investment through this project, reports Soompi.
In the film, Lee Min Ho takes on the role of Yoo Joong Hyuk, a character granted the chance to relive his life endlessly after death, endowed with striking looks and formidable combat skills, surviving in a post-apocalyptic world.

Ahn Hyo Seop makes his big-screen debut as Kim Dok Ja, the sole individual aware of the web novel’s conclusion, an ordinary office worker deeply engrossed in Yoo Joong Hyuk’s narrative.

Chae Soo Bin portrays Yoo Sang Ah, Kim Dok Ja’s colleague, offering vital support in a world where survival is a daily struggle. Shin Seung Ho and Nana assume roles from the web novel, with Shin Seung Ho becoming Lee Hyun Sung, a former military soldier with robust defensive abilities, and Nana portraying Jung Hee Won, a justice-seeking goddess endowed with extraordinary strength.

Park Ho San embodies Gong Pil Doo, wielding control over people’s livelihoods with his wealth, while Choi Young Joon takes on the role of Han Myung Oh, Kim Dok Ja’s company superior entangled in unexpected mission scenarios alongside Yoo Sang Ah. Additionally, Jisoo portrays Lee Ji Hye, overcoming numerous crises with Yoo Joong Hyuk through her formidable strength.
