Chicken Nugget To Have Special Celebrity Cameos By Jung Ho-yeon And Jinyoung
Squid Game fame Jung Ho-yeon will be making a cameo appearance in the upcoming 10-episode-long mystery-comedy series Chicken Nugget for an undisclosed role. Jinyoung will also feature in a cameo role.

The much-anticipated K-drama Chicken Nugget is set to premiere on Netflix on March 15. The 10-episode-long mystery-comedy series is based on writer Park Ji-dok’s 2019 Webtoon Dak Gang Geong (Sweet & Sour Chicken). Starring Ryu Seung-ryong, Kim Yoo-jung and Ahn Jae-hong in the lead, Chicken Nugget revolves around a father trying to bring his daughter back into her human self after she physically transforms into a fried chicken piece. The trailer has already grabbed the eyeballs of the masses. But, a new promotional video has sparked further enthusiasm among eagle-eyed viewers after they noticed some familiar celebrities in the clip, indicating their special cameo appearances in Chicken Nugget.

According to a report by Koreaboo, Squid Game fame Jung Ho-yeon will be marking her presence in Chicken Nugget for an undisclosed role. Confirming her casting, Ahn Jae-hong said in a statement, “I would like to note her acting on how well she brought up the suspense. Not only that, but the role she plays also offers crucial evidence.” Ryu Seung-ryong also heaped praises on his co-star claiming that he was “really shocked” after watching Jung Ho-yeon’s “nonchalant acting despite such long lines.”

Another popular face to join the ensemble cast of Chicken Nugget is Jinyoung. The actor previously displayed his acting prowess in movies and television shows like The Devil Judge, Yumi’s Cells, and Christmas Carol. He is also a part of the famous boyband Got7. While talking about him, Ryu Seung Ryong wished Jinyoung’s safe return from his mandatory military commitments, reports Koreaboo.

Jung Soon-won and Kim Tae-hoon, better known for their performance in the 2023 romance drama My Demon also feature in Chicken Nugget. The duo shared screen space with Kim Yoo-jung in the series. As per a report by Koreaboo, Ryu Seung-ryong revealed that although Kim Yoo-jung has been roped in as one of the leads, her appearance in the show is similar to a cameo role. It was because, in most of the episodes, she turns into a chicken nugget. “Even actress Kim Yoo Jung, who starred as my daughter, wasn’t featured in that many episodes,” he said adding that her role however was quite dominating.

Chicken Nugget is directed by Lee Byung-hun and is produced under the banners of Plus Media Entertainment and Studio Anic.
