BTS' Jin Discharge Ceremony Videos: Why Did Suga Not Join RM, J Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook? What We Know

BTS singer Jin has been discharged from military on Wednesday, June 12. The singer was welcomed back with open arms by his fellow members. In videos from Jin’s discharge ceremony, an emotional Kim Seok-jin was greeted by BTS leader RM, and fellow members, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook. While fans were hoping to see the OT7 reunite, they were heartbroken to note Suga was not present at the ceremony.

It was previously revealed that all the members had applied for a day’s off to welcome Jin back and celebrate his big day. However, it seems like Suga couldn’t make it to the ceremony. Although Suga and BTS’ agency, BigHit Music hasn’t addressed his absence, a Newsen report confirmed that Min Yoongi wasn’t present at the ceremony. However, they added, Suga will join the other members at the HYBE office to spend time with Jin.

Jin was discharged from the military at 8:30 am (KST). The BTS member was visibly emotional at the discharge ceremony. A video showed him wiping his tears as he prepared to bid goodbye to his military life. He then met his fellow members outside his military camp. RM had come with a saxophone and played the group’s international hit Dynamite for him.

Members also got Jin flowers. The singer greeted the media with a salute before he reunited with the group. He gave each member a warm hug. He also waved at the ARMYs who had gathered outside his military discharge camp site before getting into his car and driving away.

Jin had enlisted in December 2022. He was the first BTS member to have enlisted for the military training. Kim Seok-jin completed his military training just in time for BTS’ anniversary. The group debuted on June 13, 2013. This year, the group has completed 11 years. Jin will be celebrating the big day with fans.
