HYDERABAD: Keen on making a virtue out of necessity, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's loyalist legislators and leaders have decided to take up a campaign against the Congress government, blaming it for CBI investigation into the wealth of their leader. The legislators, who were ministers' in the YSR cabinet, Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose, Konda Surekha and Balineni Srinivasa Reddy went into a huddle at the party office here and decided to take up the campaign in all districts including those in the Telangana region.District-level leaders will meet here on August 22 and finalise the programmes that should be taken up to slam Congress for its "politics of vendetta" against their leader. "We will announce our programme on August 22. We are going to the people. Not that they do not know the Congress' politics of wile but we want to do our bit," former minister and legislator from Ramachandrapuram in East Godavari district Subhash Chandra Bose said after the meeting. The YSR Congress has already kept ready its arguments to counter the Congress and TDP charges of corruption and amassing of wealth against their leader, taking advantage of the fact that his father was the chief minister.Jagan loyalists have an explanation to the charge of Congress leaders why Jagan Mohan Reddy filed a writ petition in Supreme Court against the High Court order. Konda Surekha, legislator from Parakal said: "Our leader is not tainted. The CBI probe will not be able to fix him on any count. Yet our leader went to Supreme Court because we believe the CBI probe was ordered with political malice."The YSR Congress leaders are also keen to "fix" Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu because they suspect that he was extending covert support to the Congress with the intention of cutting Jagan to size.
