Thiruvananthapuram: Two Kerala natives who were deported by UAE after their alleged participation in IS propaganda returned to India on Friday.

One of them, Jabir, claimed to have no relationship with the terror group Islamic State.

"I had gone to Sheik Syed museum, there was a gun placed in front of the statue. I posed for a picture with the gun and uploaded it on my facebook account. I was then questioned by UAE authorities about the picture. Once I returned to India, I was questioned by special branch at Calicut International Airport" said Jabir.

Jabir also said that he was questioned about two of his friends who are missing.

Earlier, police in their interrogation, did not find any connection between them and the ISIS. According to the police, their interrogation did not lead to any concrete evidence in that regard.

The two men from Kochi were allegedly part of a group that participated in forums on social media which has ISIS propaganda.
