BANGALORE: Expressing confidence of getting a nod from the party high command for his Cabinet expansion plans within a week, Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda said that on-going court cases against his predecessor B S Yeddyurappa had nothing to do with the Cabinet expansion.“There is absolutely no link between the two. It is not correct to interlink each other and create an opinion that the cabinet expansion hinges on the court verdict on Yeddyurappa cases,” Gowda said when asked whether the high command was waiting for court verdict to give nod for Cabinet expansion.“We need to take permission from party high-command on important matters. This is causing the delay.” He added that he had apprised the party high-command on the need for state Cabinet expansion and that he was confident of getting the nod for it in one week.He said that he was feeling burdened with over 20 portfolios, but added he was managing all departments effectively. On K S Eshwarappa’s foreign trip, he said the latter had gone along with his family to Nepal to visit the Pashupathinath temple. “Don’t make an issue out of it,” the CM said.
