When 'CID' featured an Indian version of Heath Ledger's Joker
Not only this Joker wore the same make-up and clothes, he even spouted Hindi translations of Ledger's dialogues from 'The Dark Knight'

New Delhi: It is true, after all. When the social media started buzzing with photos and memes about the Indian version of The Joker, many brushed it off as something random.

But it turns out that the character, which was made immortal by Heath Ledger in the 2008 Batman flick, 'The Dark Knight', also appeared in a latest episode of 'CID'.

Menacingly polishing a butcher's knife, this chubby person in a purple suit, complete with white paint and bright red scars mutters sadly, "Mujhe yehi toh kaam accha nahi lagta...Baar baar khoon saaf karna padta hai." (I don't like this work, cleaning blood off knives.)

Not only that, he also spouts direct Hindi translations of The Joker's iconic lines. Here's an example, "Bachpan mein na, main bohot rota tha. Ek din mere baap ne mere muh mein ungliyaan dalkar cheer diya, aur bola hasta kyon nahi hai!" (I used to cry a lot as a kid. To teach me a lesson, my father put his fingers inside my mouth and stretched my lips. Since then I have been smiling.)

We wish we were kidding, we really do.
