Ghaziabad:Former Prime Minister V P Singh was admitted to a hosptial in Ghaziabad on Sunday evening after he complained of uneasiness while attending a rally organised by Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) in scorching heat.
The 75-year-old Singh, along with LJP chief and Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan and CPI General Secretary A B Bardhan, was in Ghaziabad to address the 'Dalit Alpasankhyak Adhikar Yatra' at the Ambedkar Ground when he complained of uneasiness.
Singh was taken to local Jasoda hospital where senior cardiologist Dr Rakesh Goyal attended on him and later said the former Prime Minister's heart beats slowed down because of heat, but his condition was stable.
Paswan and Bardhan visited Singh at the hospital. Around 1,000 people had gathered at the rally braving the searing heat.
Singh was later discharged from Jasoda Hospital after doctors attending on him said his condition was 'perfectly alright'.
He was taken to Apollo Hospital in Delhi for a thorough checkup, his office said.
