New Delhi: It’s a loss that Bamroli village of Vadodara district might perhaps never be able to cope up with.

A day after the village lost 15 girls in the bus mishap, people are sill left wondering what the future holds for the village that has really lost its future.

The entire village is mourning after cremating 15 of its girls, all of them students who died in Wednesday's accident, trying to make sense of this tragedy.

"Its as if the life has gone out of this village. I think God's curse has come upon this village,” says village sarpanch, Ambalal Rohit.

Dahyabhai Baria, uncle of 13-year old Sejal Baria, says a girl's village weeps when she leaves home after getting married but Baamroli didn't get that chance.

"The entire village used to weep when a girl got married and was sent off. Today we are all crying because we have lost so many girls,” says Dahyabhai.

At Navjivan Vidyalaya where the girls studied, their classmates and teachers couldn't stop their tears either the entire school got together for a prayer meeting.

"Those 25 children would have been writing their last examination here today. I cannot control my tears when I think they are not with us,” says principal, Navjivan Vidyalaya, Jagdish Patel.

Though the government has offered compensation to the families of the girls who died, for their parents that will be small consolation. And it will take far more than money to even begin to dry their tears.
