Venomous snakes often roam nearby bushes, old houses, ponds, and parks.

With the start of monsoon, animals like reptiles find a way to enter human habitat. Amongst reptiles, snakes are spotted the most, in this season. Since the rains fill their habitats with water, serpents crawl to land, biting humans during the season. The lives of people living in forests, hilly areas and ground floors are impacted the most by snakes. Venomous snakes often roam nearby bushes, old houses, ponds, and parks, and can even enter homes in search of food during this time. Recently, a viral video on social media has caught the attention of netizens. The incident is said to be from West Bengal. The video shows a venomous snake hiding inside a shoe, coming out as soon as the shoe is moved. A serious accident could have occurred within seconds if they did not notice the snake. This video has become widely shared on social platforms.

During the monsoon, snakes can hide in various corners of the house, including inside shoes, helmets and unused clothes. If you need to go out suddenly, always check your shoes and bike helmets thoroughly to ensure no hidden dangers are present. Despite the shock caused by the viral video, it serves as an important lesson. Always put on items like shoes with care. Otherwise, a danger could arise in an instant.

Another video showing a snake sneaking into a shoe went viral on Instagram earlier. The video was posted by a woman named Aarti, who calls herself a snake rescuer. The clip shows a small snake inside a leather shoe. At the beginning of the video, Aarti is seen holding a shoe. Then she takes a stick and lifts the shoe to reveal the snake. Aarti tries to slowly tap the ground to chase the snake away. But it just crawls back inside. Finally, she puts her hand inside the shoe and takes out the snake.

Bleach powder also serves as one of the effective remedies for avoiding snakes, scorpions and other creatures. Bleach can be mixed with water and sprayed on the stagnant water near the house. Plants like cactus and snake plants also keep snakes at bay. Snakes feel threatened by the sharp leaf edges of the plant and also avoid thorny plants, such as cactus.
