HYDERABAD: V Vijay Sai Reddy, accused No.2 in the alleged illegal assets case involving Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, filed a petition in the Special CBI Court here on Tuesday, seeking permission to use his laptop computer without Internet connection inside the prison.With his police custody having come to an end, the vice-chairman of Jagathi Publications Private Limited was produced in the court.Magistrate B Naga Maruthi Sharma sent him to judicial custody till January 31.Stating that Vijay Sai Reddy was a reputed chartered accountant and discharging duties as the key financial adviser to Jagan Mohan Reddy's and various other companies, his counsel pleaded with the court to grant him permission to utilise his laptop in the prison without Internet connection.''I am not only adviser to Jaganmohan Reddy's companies but I am also working as financial adviser to various companies located in Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.I need to work on the laptop as part of my duties,'' Vijay Sai Reddy said.Reddy, who is currently lodged in the Chanchalguda Central Prison, also said that he needed the computer to coordinate with the advocates in connection with the illegal assets case.''I need to coordinate with the advocates in the illegal assets case.I will not misuse it.I will utilise my laptop without Internet connection.I will utilise the Dragon Naturally Speaking software in my laptop to coordinate with my clients,'' he said.The magistrate posted further arguments on the petition to January 20.
