Two students from Jammu and Kashmir were swept away by the strong currents of Saharadhara river when they went for a picnic to the popular tourist spot in the city, police said on Monday. Azad Ahmed and Raees, both of them in their twenties, who were doing their masters in Chemistry from a private institute in Selakui, fell into the river on Sunday after slipping off a rock, they said.

Azad Ahmed and Raees, both of them in their twenties, who were doing their masters in Chemistry from a private institute in Selakui, fell into the river on Sunday after slipping off a rock, they said.
Police reached the spot and launched a search for them when their friends raised an alarm. Raees was found alive after hours of search but Ahmed is still missing, police said. However, efforts are on to trace him, they said.
