New Delhi: Twitter has announced a new photo and video search feature. But unlike traditional search engine results it doesn't display the image and video results upfront but as content related to results from a search query.
The related media for search results on Twitter will not be displayed by default and the user has the option to view the related photo and video content or not.
The related top images and videos along with search results will be displayed for regular search queries and also for hashtags and Twitter usernames.
This new feature will make millions of photo and video content shared on Twitter more discoverable.
The new feature in Twitter Search is accessible only when a user is logged in.
Twitter has also laid to rest speculation about it launching its own photo sharing service. Twitter announced that it is partnering with Photobucket for Twitter's built in photo-sharing feature.
